Dr. Jane Chalkley - Chief Executive Officer
Jane has spent her entire career in the education field ranging from Pre-K to adult. She has done it all: teacher, library lady, administrator and bus driver. She was also very active in the Chesterfield Jaycees for over 30 years including being an officer at both the state and local levels. Jane has a deep commitment to her family and her community.
Lynn Laning - Chief Financial Officer
Lynn used her Animal and Poultry Sciences degree (hands on Biology) from Virginia Tech to teach middle school math and science for several years. Then she transferred her teaching skills to the world of banking, where she ran two offices. This venture allows her to combine her loves of working with children, teaching, and finances.
Katy Laning - Director of Curriculum and Instruction
Katy has a Family and Consumer Sciences degree specializing in early childhood education from Bridgewater College, VA, which she initially used in the childcare field. She was the associate director of a local daycare before going into teaching herself. After 7 years working with special needs students and teaching Family and Consumer Sciences (the modern day Home Ec), she is eager to return to her roots. She will be working with our Pre-K and Preschool students and directing all curriculum for Firefly.
